At The Dog Shoppe, we carefully choose every product we carry and stand behind the quality of the brands we offer. If something isn’t right with your order, our team is here to help.

30-Day Return Policy

You may request a return within 30 days of delivery for eligible items.

To qualify for a return, items must:

  • Be unused
  • Be in the original packaging
  • Be in the same condition you received them

Please include your order number or proof of purchase when requesting a return.

To start a return, log in to your account, select the order you'd like to return, and follow the prompts. You can also contact us at support@thedogshoppe.com support@thedogshoppe.co with your order number and the item you wish to return.

Product Use & Return Eligibility

Products that have been used, opened, or altered after delivery are not eligible for return unless the item is defective or arrived damaged.

This policy helps ensure product safety and hygiene for all customers and their pets.

Return Shipping

A $6.95 flat return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund once the return is processed.

Return shipping is free if:

  • Your item arrived damaged
  • You received the wrong item
  • The product is defective

If any of these situations occur, contact us and we will provide a prepaid return label.

Items That Cannot Be Returned

For hygiene and safety reasons, the following items cannot be returned:

  • Opened grooming products (shampoos, conditioners, sprays, powders)
  • Used brushes, combs, or grooming tools
  • Items not in their original condition
  • Items returned more than 30 days after delivery

If a grooming product arrives damaged or defective, please contact us and we will gladly resolve the issue.

Exchanges

The fastest way to exchange an item is to return the original item and place a new order.

If you received a defective or incorrect item, we will cover the shipping cost for the replacement.

Local In-Person Returns

If you are located in the Indianapolis area, eligible items may be returned in person at one of our facilities:

Please bring your order confirmation or receipt when returning items in person.

Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you if your refund has been approved.

If approved, refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Please note:

  • The $6.95 return shipping fee will be deducted from eligible refunds
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • A photo of the item
  • A short description of the issue

Our team will arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.
