This harness uses a martingale loop that gently tightens when a dog pulls, discouraging the behavior without choking or restricting movement the way a slip lead can. The front and back leash connection points give you two ways to control the walk, clip to the front for a no-pull setup or the back for standard use, so you can redirect your dog instead of fighting against them. Swiss velvet lining on the chest strap keeps it soft against the skin and prevents chafing, even on longer walks. The webbing is rated to 3800 lbs, the same strength used for towing, so it holds up against dogs that pull hard. It's trainer and veterinarian recommended, and the stainless steel hardware won't rust and can be washed after muddy walks.

Weight ranges are general guidelines based on breed averages. Chest measurement is the most accurate way to find the right size, since dogs of the same breed can vary in build. If your dog falls between sizes, choose the size where the measurement lands closer to the middle of the range.

Fit tips

  • The chest strap should sit right behind the front legs.
  • You should be able to fit two fingers under any strap.
  • Snug, not tight. Your dog should move freely and comfortably.

A good fit means less pulling and a more relaxed walk for both of you.

I recommend 2 Hounds Design because they build gear the way someone who actually needed it would build it. The company started when Alisha couldn't find a martingale collar that worked for her own retired greyhounds, so she made one herself, and that same practical, dog-first thinking is still behind every harness and collar they ship out of their North Carolina facility. Their Freedom No-Pull Harness uses a martingale loop that discourages pulling without choking, Swiss velvet lining to prevent chafing, and webbing strong enough for the hardest pullers, which is why so many shelters and rescues rely on it too. They source materials in the US and hold themselves to real manufacturing standards instead of cutting corners to save money. That combination of thoughtful design and consistent quality is why I trust 2 Hounds Design enough to put their products on our shelves. ~Bradley
